One thing that we really appreciated about Helen is the speed in which she would reply to emails or phone calls. As a family searching for a house from out of town, it can be quite painful waiting for responses when every minute counts. But Helen makes you feel like you are her first  priority and is "on call" 24-7. While signing our purchasing offers and knowing that we were a large family, she was happy to meet us at a hotel lobby, local swimming pool and a grocery parking lot, instead of asking us to come to her office. She also provides you with information that other realtors may neglect. We were impressed by the way that she called a local school on our behalf in order to acquire some pertinent information. We appreciated those sorts of extra steps that made a house hunting trip go easier. Thank you.

I had previously worked with Helen in the high-tech sector, so I already knew going in of her professionalism, attention to detail, and her congenial personality. Helen shows those same attributes as a real estate agent. Helen and I discussed my requirements, and she quickly located several potential homes for purchase. We had a great time visiting these homes on a cold January morning. Once I had made my choice, Helen thoroughly and carefully walked me through the next steps in the purchase process, and followed up with the home inspection and reminders of my tasks and responsibilities. My husband and I recently bought a home in the Sandy Hill area in Ottawa. Helen Burton was our agent. We were most impressed by her knowledge of the market, both from the perspective of buying and providing insights into resale potential should we consider ‘upgrading’ or moving within the area at a future date. This was important as it gave us a sense of confidence that the purchase we were making was the right one for our needs.
The seller of the home we purchased was selling privately. There were several instances during the negotiation process where Helen demonstrated to us that her expertise is much more than putting a sign on the lawn and completing a sale. Issues relating to legal documents, requirements and responsibilities on the part of the seller which needed to be provided or arranged prior to closing were issues that Helen dealt with on our behalf – to protect us! We are most grateful for this expertise! I even suggested to the seller that he consider using Helen’s services should he be looking to purchase another home!
